OpenEventDatabase est un projet de création d’une base de donnée événementielle mondiale et généraliste. Le projet à été proposé par Christian Quest en mai 2014. En mai-juin 2015, un recensement des personnes intéressées par le projet à eu lieu, mais il n’y a pas eu de lancement du développement des idées déjà en place. En novembre 2015, un [[usages:agenda_culturel|projet d’agenda culturel pour le département de la Vienne]] à été lancé et pourrait servir comme premier usage d’OEDb. D’autres [[utilisation|projets lanceurs]] sont à l’étude.
